This is the website of the Towler family - I’m dad, AKA Dennis Towler, and the others who may (if they can be bothered) post here, are my wife, Jane, and our son Jake - 12 going on 30

As its me doing most of the blogging, you’d better know a little bit more about me I guess.

I work as a self-employed builder and decorator (more decorating, less building these days) and when work allows my hobby is, well, doing ‘this’, I guess

I’m not sure where this blog will take me - I always wanted a podium to put the world to rights, and now I have one, I’m not sure where to start. I’d not be much ‘cop’ on Hyde Park Corner.

I love the power of the internet, there is so much useful information out there - and also a lot of nonsense - so I will probably start by collecting together all the good stuff and use this site as a dumping ground/scrapbook for all my favourite snippets of information - and my views on it.

We all like to travel, so I’ll probably also bore you all silly with where we have been, where we are going and what happened when we went.

If you disagree with anything I write, ‘pile in’, as we say in Bolton - I have broad shoulders and my family aren’t easily offended.
